Commonly known as Earth Spacedock, the iconic Star Trek starbase originated in The Motion Picture era of films before appearing in Star Trek: The Next Generation and beyond. Even the legendary USS Enterprise-A, under the command of James T. Kirk, would be launched from Spacedock.

The model ship captures the vast orbital platform visible from the planet below; Spacedock is the most impressive of the various Starfleet facilities circling Earth. Its mushroom-shaped upper section is an enormous sheltered dock for starships up to Excelsior-class size. At the centre of this giant space, and extending far below it, are hundreds of decks comprising a whole vertical city.
