U.S.S. Excelsior (Prototype II) Model (#158) - Eaglemoss Star Trek Starships Collection

This early USS Excelsior concept was created by Star Trek Art Director Nilo Rodis during the development of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Intended to showcase a next-generation starship that would surpass the Enterprise in both appearance and technology, the design featured four nacelles—a distinctive concept that would later appear on-screen in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Nilo Rodis was one of the most influential designers in Star Trek history, playing a key role in shaping the franchise's visual identity. Among his many contributions, he is credited as a co-creator of both the Excelsior-class starship and the iconic Klingon Bird-of-Prey.
